What Pythia is

Pythia is a sports analysis service. It publishes probabilities, flags, suggested stakes and a record of the picks it calls. It does not accept, place or broker wagers, does not hold your money, and is not a sportsbook.

Nothing on Pythia is financial, legal or betting advice, and nothing is a promise of any result. Past results, including the published record and any backtest, do not predict future results. You decide whether to bet, where and how much.

Who can use it

You must be at least 21 years old, or older where your law requires, to use Pythia. Using any suggestion to place a wager is your responsibility and is only permitted where sports wagering is legal for you.

One person per account. Give us an email address you control, keep your sign in secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans (Basic and Pro) are billed monthly in US dollars through Stripe and renew automatically each month until you cancel. The price is shown before you pay, and Stripe sends a receipt for every charge.

You can cancel at any time from Settings, through the Stripe billing portal. Your plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew after that. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.

If a payment fails, paid features pause until it is fixed. If we change a price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

The free plan shows each game once it has started and may change at any time.

How you may use it

Pythia is for your personal use. You may not resell, republish or redistribute picks, prices or other content, run a picks service from them, or share your account.

Do not scrape, copy or access the service by automated means beyond the phone widget we provide, try to break or get around its security, or interfere with other users. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Our content and the data behind it

The software, models, text and design of Pythia belong to us. You get a personal, revocable right to use them while your account is in good standing.

Scores, schedules, injuries, weather and odds come from third party providers and can be late or wrong. A price shown on Pythia may have moved by the time you see it. Always confirm the line with your book before you bet it.

No warranty and limits on liability

Pythia is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for any purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any wager you place, any money you lose, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it arose.

Changes

We improve Pythia constantly, and features, sports and markets can change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Using Pythia after that means you accept the new terms.

Responsible play

Only bet what you can afford to lose. Suggested stakes are fractional Kelly amounts against the bankroll you enter in Settings; they are suggestions, never instructions, and you can lower them at any time.

Set limits before you play and take breaks. Most books offer deposit limits and self exclusion. If gambling is causing you or someone close to you harm, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org for free, confidential help, any time.

Privacy: what we collect

Your email address and sign in details; the settings you choose (bankroll, stake limits, minimum edge, sports, books and time zone); the tickets you record; and, if you turn alerts on, the push address your browser gives us and whether you want email alerts.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer and subscription status, never your card number. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, such as IP address and browser, to run and secure the service.

Privacy: how we use it and who sees it

We use your information to run Pythia for you: to size stakes against your bankroll, price picks at your books, send the alerts you turn on, bill your plan, and keep the service secure. We use aggregate, anonymous results to improve the models.

We share it only with the providers that run the service for us: Supabase (database and sign in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and the browser push services of Apple, Google and Mozilla (alerts). We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Privacy: your choices and rights

You can change your settings or turn alerts off at any time. You can delete your account in Settings: it cancels any paid plan and permanently removes your profile, settings, tickets and alert devices. Stripe keeps billing records it is required to keep by law.

You may ask for a copy of your information or to correct it; contact us. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these rights too, and we will not treat you differently for using them. Pythia is not for anyone under 21.
